Q. Why did you select The Ohio Statehouse for your wedding?
A. We have dreamed of our wedding here for years- it is one of the most amazing buildings in Ohio with so much history while still being romantic and modern. We love the white stone and feel in awe every time we walk into the rotunda. Abby went on a school trip there when she was in the 3rd grade and has been in love with it ever since. 

Q. Tell us how you met
A. We met in high school at 16 years old. We went to rival catholic high schools in Columbus and at the time Abby’s two best friends at her school were dating Joe’s two best friends at his school. They set us up on a blind group date to the Columbus Zoo for zoo lights on December 6th. The date went amazing and at the end of the night Abby asked Joe if he wanted to be her boyfriend and he said yes. 

Q. Tell us how you got engaged
A. We attended Miami University together after high school and Joe had always planned on proposing during or around graduation from college, however, since our last senior semester was during the spring of 2020 the world had other plans. We both went back home and during all of the craziness and uncertainty of the world he didn’t want to wait anymore, so in April of 2020 Joe set up a picnic. Abby grew up on a farm with a large pond and cabin next to it. Since we couldn’t go anywhere during the peak of the pandemic, Joe brought Abby up to the pond with the picnic and blindfolded her, gave her a well-rehearsed speech, and when she took off the blindfold he was on one knee both of our parents, who had been hiding in the cabin, were there. She said yes and here we are!

There were so many shots that we didn’t even know you guys were capturing that were such incredible additions. 

We are so thankful for kindness, patients, and responsiveness throughout the whole process. You gave us so much great advice, especially when it came to the timeline and that helped the day go so smooth! Through every email and every phone call you were so professional and reassuring which was such a blessing to mitigate the stress of planning.

This video was such a gift to us. Something that we will look back on for a lifetime to relive this happy day. Our families were so impressed with the quality of your work and we can’t stop telling everyone that they need you guys on their wedding day. You have given us something so timeless and beautiful and we LOVED it and LOVED your team. THANK YOU!!”
